Swing Carousel - 2024

Made from 9mm birch plywood they are driven by a simple off the shelf pulley/belt setup by a geared 12 Volt motor. We designed and 3D printed a few parts, caps to secure the bearings and a belt tensioner system. The construction uses tabs and slots for alignment and the assemblies are then glued together. Jewellery chain was used to hang the chairs secured with eyelets. The design details were cut using fluted toothpaths with a V groove cutter
