Shipping policy

All orders are designed, made and dispatched by Neil Makes from Somerset, England.

Processing Times

Orders are normally prepared for dispatch within the following times:

Reusable art stencils: 1–3 working days
Handmade lamps and lighting: 3–5 working days

Custom, personalised or made-to-order products may require additional production time. Any longer processing time will be shown on the product page or confirmed after the order is placed.

Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

UK Shipping

Shipping is free on all UK orders.

UK orders are normally delivered within approximately 2–4 working days after dispatch.

Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by postal delays, severe weather or other circumstances outside the control of Neil Makes.

Tracking information will be provided where a tracked delivery service is used.

International Shipping

International shipping is available.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery destination, parcel size and weight.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

Europe: approximately 5–10 working days
United States: approximately 7–14 working days
Other international destinations: approximately 7–21 working days

These delivery times are estimates. International orders may occasionally be delayed by customs processing, local postal services or circumstances outside the control of Neil Makes.

United States Duties and Taxes

Orders delivered to the United States are sent using Royal Mail’s Delivered Duty Paid service.

All applicable customs duties, import taxes and fees are prepaid by Neil Makes before dispatch.

Customers in the United States will not be required to pay additional customs duties or import taxes when their order is delivered.

The shipping price shown at checkout includes these charges, so there should be no unexpected customs fees upon delivery.

Customs Charges for Other Countries

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom and United States may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or handling charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are set by local customs authorities and are outside the control of Neil Makes.

Unless stated otherwise during checkout, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees applied to their order.

Delivery Addresses

Please check that your delivery address is complete and correct before placing your order.

Neil Makes cannot be held responsible for delays, losses or additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

If you notice an error in your delivery details, contact neil@neilmakes.co.uk as soon as possible.

Address changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been dispatched.

Delayed or Missing Orders

Please allow the full estimated delivery period before contacting us about a delayed order.

If your order has not arrived after the expected delivery period, contact:

Please include your name and order number so the delivery can be investigated.

Damaged Orders

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If an item has been damaged during delivery, contact neil@neilmakes.co.uk as soon as possible.

Please provide:

Your order number
A description of the damage
Clear photographs of the damaged item
Clear photographs of the outer and inner packaging

Please keep the damaged item and all original packaging until the issue has been resolved.

Returned or Undeliverable Parcels

If a parcel is returned because the delivery address was incorrect or incomplete, the parcel was refused, or it was not collected from the delivery office, the customer may be responsible for the cost of sending it again.

Original international shipping costs may not be refundable where an order is returned because it was refused or not collected.
