Each tractor was a different colour, red, blue and green and each was customised with a number plate and the name of each garden centre on the rear wheels. The weight bearing parts of the tractors were made from 18mm MDF and 12mm MDF was used for the other parts. Studwork was used for the frame inside. The tractors have three areas to display stock, the top (roof), the front and inside the 'cab' and the trailer provides lots of space for products. I made three large ones and three smaller. These were made by pin nailing and gluing strips of 6mm plywood to 18mm ply shelves that were cut in to oval shapes. I then used expanding foam to build up a texture on the surface to imitate tree bark and used formers at the base for the tree roots. The largest one has CNC's tiled roof and the largest two designs have windows again cut on the CNC. I made 4 sizes in total of various designs. These were cut on the CNC and then the detailed mouldings were machined on the router table.
